The move leverages aggregators like 0x and 1inch to route trades on-chain, tapping into liquidity from decentralized markets such as Uniswap and Aerodrome.

The feature enables users to swap Base-native tokens—including assets from Virtuals AI Agents, Reserve Protocol, and Centrifuge—without moving funds off-platform. By embracing DEX functionality, Coinbase offers self-custody, permissionless access, and exposure to a broader range of assets while reducing reliance on intermediaries.
